two questions - additional homes, and downloading expansions

Question

I know we used to be able to go to cell phone, real estate, and purchase additional home. but i dont see it in there anymore. is there a way i can own 2 homes for 1 family in the same neighborhood?

and my second question, i dont have my ambitions disk anymore and i got a new laptop. how do i get it from here? i tried to go through origin download but its not showing up that i have it. yet on my account in thesims3.com says i have it. how do i download it onto my new laptop without origin or disk?

try in live mode click on a house and see if the option to purchase shows up there or map view
