Recently bought the Sims 3 Starter Pack and installed everything, created an Origin account and The Sims 3 Community.com. But everytime I open the launcher pad, there's always a pop-up saying "Unable to Download EA Manager". I can't update my game so can you help me out?

With updating your game, you can also do it manually. If you look here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Current-Patch-1-57-Manual-links-and-more/td-p/67858 and then download the patch, you can then install it without going through the launcher.
