Unable to connect to origin when launching sims 3
I recently purchased the hard copy discs for the Sims 3 Starter Pack. When I the game disc was unrecognized I received tech support help which had me download Origin and the Sims 3 base game. I was unable to launch my game, and received more tech support. After exhausting the following, I am still unable to play my game:
-reset origin
-disabled proxies
-added to firewall
-opened to gatekeeper
-sign into sims network on game launcher
-support was able to sign into account and connect on a pc
-support re-added starter addition
-clean installed
-do not use mods
-do not use additional AV, FW, VPN
I am currently running macOS Sierra 10.12.6 and can only update to Catalina which is not compatible with this game.
This has been an long process of troubleshooting a game that should run on my computer. PLEASE HELP.
