Unable to start game
Sims 3 used to run on this laptop, but now it no longer does. I get the error message: "Unable to start the game, Device 0 cannot run this title. No supported video graphics card detected."
This is really strange, as this is a laptop where the graphics subsystem has been the same forever and it used to be good enough for Sims 3. I hve checked the graphics drivers and they are all up to date (version 6.14.0010.5420). The graphics card is the Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family. The game itself is also up to date (version 1.50.56.021001).
Any idea what have changed in either the game itself, the laptop or the drivers than make it impossible to run the game anymore?

OK, problem solved. Thanks! I reset the graphics drivers by uninstalling the drivers and letting Windows re-install them. Windows picked a much older version of the driver (version 6.14.10.5068 from 5/1/2009) instead of the latest driver (version 6.14.0010.5420). Everything is working now. I do not know yet whether the issue was the reset (uninstall/install) of the driver or the fact that I rolled back to the much older version. But, I can play Sims 3 now. Thank you again for the idea!
