Did you buy the DVD version ? Are you on a Mac or PC ? What's the exact error message you're getting ?

I don't know what you mean by the DVD version... but erm, the error is:
You are playing a non-final, unauthorized copy of The Sims 3.Purchasing and registering an official copy of The Sims 3 will entitle you to benefits including access to an entirely new game town called Riverview, 1000 SimPoints which can be redeemed for game objects in The Sims 3 Store, and access to The Sims 3 Exchange.I'm on a PC btwWhat I meant was if you bought the game as a digital download or if you have a physical disc.

What is your base game version right now ? Please post the full number.
To find out, open your launcher and hover over the little base game icon in the lower left part of the launcher.

I bought the physical disc.
My base game icon isn't there? But the version number of the last installed EP is 1.0.615.0017
