It seems everyone and their grandmother needs to attend that class so getting into it is pretty impossible. They just line up one by one and wait to enter one by one. It makes the game unplayable.
A lot of general path issues too ( a lot of waiting for others to go first when they're just standing still). One at a time sucks. Just gooooooo.
I am having the same problem. My sim missed her lecture b/c she couldn't get in the building. And her prof was stuck outside as well!
And there was a fire in the dorm kitchen that caused a lot of routing issues. The firefighter couldn't put out the fire, and one of the roommates died. My sim wouldn't leave the lot while there was a fire - she kept cancelling the action. The fire never got put out (two different firefighters eventually came and still said the fire was blocked). I ended up exiting without saving.
