I find this very important to report, as it just happened to me.
The routing in Uni can be abysmal at times, moreso when there is a large number of people all trying to get into one place. My Sim just missed her graduation because there was a large amount of Sims hanging out right outside of the Annex doors. It may be because of the number of Sims that she invited to her graduation, but either way the routing is incredibly faulty.
A suggested fix would be to greatly limit the amount of Sims that you invite to a graduation. It can help make the process move along smoothly.
I don't know if my Sim will keep her new degree if I make her "drop out" or if she will get a prompt to move out at ALL because she missed her graduation. Will have to wait and see.
EDIT: The graduating process was able to continue even though she did not attend graduation.
Another problem, which is most likely related to the issues with people not being able to see their schedules/people not being able to see the progress bar without "resetsim"-ing: If your Sim is attending for a two-term period, be prepared to type in that "resetsim" after the first term completes. It will reset the grade back to a C, but there is enough time to build the grade back to an A if one is lucky.
To avoid this issue, I recommend, for now, only sending Sims for single terms.
