I downloaded both from Origin and do not have the disc for either. I'm running 32 bit Windows Vista. I have given the game files and launchers permission to go through my firewall as well as Origin and its launcher. I've tried launching it with my virus protection disabled and I still get the same message.
Could you try disabling the firewall entirly just to see if maybe the settings is off.
I only know two reasons for this error:
- EA is having issues with their servers (which they were having but it should be solved)
- Firewall/Antivirus is blocking the connection.
If it doesn't work, I don't have any other suggestions atm, sorry.
