I'm having this problem on my Macbook Pro, so glad I'm not the only one! Only I bought the physical copy of the starter patch and it's still playing up. Managed to patch Late Night but that's it. Can't update High-End Loft without the unknown error popping up halfway through and can't open the launcher without it popping up either. I was trying to avoid downloading the super patch because my internet is so slow but I think I'm going to have to :/

What is your actual patch level right now? Only the base game needs updating so once you reach 1.67, that's the latest patch. If the updates tab of the launcher isn't working properly then the superpatch is your best bet.
