Updated from 1.0.6 to the newest 1.67, Game wont start.
So i've been trying to fix this issue for several days now with absolutly no luck. So i'll post my question here and current situation here.
My game hadn't bee played in a while, so when i downloaded origin( updated version) i decided that i would play the Sims again, when i downloaded the sims, i attempted to download my expansion packs when i did, it told my my game was not up to date, and that id have to update it from the launcher, so i opened up the launcher to update, and the launcher claimed that it had been up to date, so i searched around and found the ACTUAL update (1.67) via this website, and proceeded to download the file. Now i'll pause here to say that without the update, and without my expansion packs, the game works perfectly fine. But with the update, and when i install my expansions, it doesn't even load. Anyway, i didnt understand this issue so i looked up some trouble shooting ideas, and believe me, i've been doing this for over 3 days now, i've researched every possible method to fix my issue and i end up at the same problem, My process is this, Uninstall origin completely through both Control Panel and the "run" menu, reinstalled to ensure to get the updated version, from there i install Sims 3, open the launcher and go into the game to assure that it works, then i completely close down the sims and the launcher, install Super Patch to 1.67, go to relaunch the game, launcher reads "unable to connect to EA download manager" i "ok" that screen, hit the play button, Game launches after a while, Completely exit out of Sims + launcher, install Expansion packs, Ambitions, World Adventures, High End Loft, Late Night, Open launcher, attempt to launch game by pressing "Play" button, launcher closes, nothing happens, attempts for a second time, while Task manager is running to find an issue, task manager shows that the game is now force closing itself each time its attempted to be opened, open origin, uninstall all exp. packs, uninstal from control panel, remove from "run" process to completely erase all exp. packs, go to launcher, press play button, game still forces closes itself. Uninstall sims including update, reinstall without update and without exp. packs, open launcher, press play button, game works fine. try to download exp packs without 1.67, game doesnt allow it, Only way the game will allow the process to continue is if there are no exp packs and no update.
Methods tried: Factory Reset Uninstall/reinstall Complete Delete of both Sims 3 and Origin Including all files Complete delte of all temp files whiles both origin and Sims are downloaded Troubleshooting each exp. pack solitarily with the game to see if it launches each time a pack is installed,
Installed an earlier patch, and then updated, then installed a newer patch from the Newer old patch (went from 1.0.6, to 1.55, then 1.67) Contacted EA via phone and Online Chat service for tips...They were useless (told me to do things i'd used common sense to do already) Ran diagnostics on the patch link and found 1 file type identified by my security system as Malicious Content Allowed both clients (Sims 3 And Origin) complete access through the firewall Ran both Programs using admisnistrator Bypassed the launcher and used ts3/ts3w/ts3ep01,2,3,4,5,6,&7 Downloaded the game to a desktop and seen it work with all expansions and tried to find differences between the two...(there were none) Deleted the Dccache Force update through files from current to most recent (which is going in your files to find the version type, removeing it, and updateding to the next game update by opening the launcher refreshing and letting it update to the current patch on its own As i said i've tried ALOT of tedious things and none of them have worked, i think i even registered all of my freaking Exp. Packs, to no avail,
What the Game is Actually Doing With all updates, patches, exp. packs installed on both clients I go to press the play button on the launcher, the launcher closes but the game never pops up, no black screen no loading icon near mouse pointer, the game simply force closes itself immediately trying to bypass the launcher gets me the exact some result no matter which bypass i use whether it be the exp pack direct link, or the sims game direct link.
Any help on this matter would be much appreciated, id hate to have to fight to get my money back for a game i cannot play. Im using a Laptop as well if that matters, which it should cause i've played it perfectly fine on laptops all the same. My graphics cards and flash player can be given upon request if needed to find the issue.

Actually, Yes. I have played this game several times on this laptop...which coincidentally is how i just found a recent error which i think may be causing the problem, along with my below minimum system reqs., While the ame will load by itself straight from the launcher, if i dowload any expansion packs while the current patch is installed, the game will stall out and crash. However, when i remove the expansion packs AND the patch, the game then requires an update, but yet, if i installed the patch to update, the expansions will not work. So the game itself, works absolutely fine on its own. I guess it just cant handle/isnt compatible the updates, once they are installed. I kinda figure it was some of my packs specifically since i've tried each 1by 1 and some still worked, i think i got the forth EP installed when it started to stall. and as stated once icompletely removed all EPs the game strted up just fine. I wondered if there were any EP patches released for my region (017 according to the recent update) tht would not have installed through the uper Patch that could maybe be installed manually. I tried once but my region was incorrect according to the download wizard. It may not seem like big deal, i mean "Game works, only loss is EP packs, suck it up!" Well, thats understood and all, but i DID pay for them, and there's alot of cotent on thost packs specifically which made me want to buy them, playing without them isnt necessarily "killing me" but it is frustrating that i can't use what i paid for. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
You can try to just patch to the level needed for your EPs.
Which expansions do you have ?
I do think that the newest update is probably too much for your computer since every update also adds new stuff to the game so if we can figure out, what you need for your EPs, you can try just to patch up to that. You won't be able to login though.
So you think that if i download an earlier patch, thatis stll compatiblewith my current system reqs. That the game should run fine? Im justmaking sure, cause like i said, Base Game runs, no problem, but when i download the EPs thats when the game stalls. So what im understanding is that if i download for example update 1.56, ofwhos reuireents my system meet, and then download the EP packs, that the game should run fine? Just making sure, because im going to try it and let you know how it works out.
