What graphic setting turns the fireplace/chimney smoke effect on and off?
I love building cozy cabins out in the middle of nowhere in all my worlds, and I’ve dozed off several times to the homely atmosphere of cozy fireplaces and tenting trips. When I first started playing The Sims 3, all my graphics settings were fully enabled to the max, and you could see a lot of realistic things occurring in the game, like chimney smoke. It was not until my late teen years that I discovered my laptop had been getting high on dust and wool dots from my bed (how lazy of me - I have a HUGE desk assigned for PC’s 😞), and I had to uninstall all the unnecessary high performance games and turn down all graphics settings of all games, including The Sims 3. That was years ago. Anyway, back to the point: where is the graphics setting to turn on/off smoke effects from chimneys?!
- @MrzTram FOR EVERYONE ASKING THE SAME QUESTION: I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE SETTING THAT TURNS ON/OFF SMOKE FROM CHIMNEYS IS “Visual Effects”. THE LOWEST AVAILABLE SETTING FOR A FULLY FUNCTIONAL SMOKE EFFECT IS “Medium”!!
