You're welcome.
Thanks for accepting a solution.
I will just try to reply here as I have somewhat the same problem ... about patching store. Now my file is the right size, is in the right place, I've tried deleting as was written up here and then trying to reinstall. My problem is every single item I have brought in store. I get this error message (translated from Danish) for EVERY object whether it be Sim, clothing, hair, city or what-so-ever: "Could not install. Make sure your game has all needed software updates and try again." I have just spent 6 hours reinstalling all the game, I have patched it to 1.63, updated store for v 2.2 and it should be right now ... Still I get that error message. I was hoping to get to play in Midnight Hollow and with some of the medieval/historical content, I bought ... And as I just wrote I have already reinstalled everything after launcher-failure earlier today (a corrupt launcher file). I manually uninstalled everything and made sure all was gone, before starting over.
Uhm, think that is all info. If you need more, please let me know and thank you for your time and advice in advance, it is much appreciated

I don't know what's up with that message. Many have it and I'm trying to get some answers from the CM.
Sorry I can't help with this atm

I guess, I'll be making a post in my blog here: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/
It's such a common issue that it deserves a post once it has a solution.
Or you can just bump this thread in about week and ask again. I can't subscribe to every post I answer in, I would loose track of everything.
Would that work for you ?

I will just keep an eye on your blog - saves you the extra work ... However after playing yesterday without store-content apparently now my launcher cache files are corrupted and I can start reinstalling - again again again (5th time in a month now ...) might solve the problem.

Ok. I hope this can be figured out.
