When I try to play the SIms 3, the play button is greyed out?

I have taken the disc in and out of the computer, installed the latest version of Origin, etc.  What is a way that I can fix that problem without deleting any gameplay?  It just won't let me click on...

This continuously acts back up for me. its very annoying and i dont understand why its happening.  I haven't been able to play for a couple months now

    Is that on Origin or on the launcher ?
