try when you launch your game play for a few to let it settle then pause it go to map view hit M and see if you can find the house he lives in once you find out where he lives then go over to visit him , or if he is out somewhere it may give a clue like Davin is not at home right now he is at the park then go there to find him , if he is gone from the game you'll have to cancel the opportunity because you won't be able to fulfill it
although with the story progression Sims die and or are moved out of the town at any time whenever the town is considered to be overpopulated, in essence making player's Sims to lose their friends randomly without warning so that could have happened too

- ApprovedTy rumbutter...he's only been visible on the map once and that was when he appeared to be in my limo...lol! However, he wasn't clickable and then he disappeared! So I'm guessing it's like u said, that he's probably just gone from the town! But it still seems strange that NOBODY has ever mention this character anywhere! It seems that all the other characters have full bios and everything else online somewhere but this Davin Blakely character seems to be indigenous to my game only....lol! Isn't that odd? Have u ever heard of him? I can't even find a relative!! (Queue the Twilight Zone theme!) 😏
love the twilight zone *GASP i hear the theme song now* i did have that happen with a sim before he was supposed to befriend another sim who worked at some office who" disappeared" but i had the sim read the newspaper and that's where i saw the sims family had moved town so cancelled the opportunity and the newspapers xD
