Where is my "FREE town"?

I just downloaded Sims 3.  In the email I received to help me, it says:

"From this page you will also be able to redeem your exclusive Sims points and access to a free town (additional half of the world)

Access to the additional half of the world

To access the additional half of The Sims™ 3 world you will need to register on the official Sims 3 website as explained above. Once registered go to: ‘The Store’ and click on ‘Get a FREE new town’"

I was able to redeem the Sims points.  But the "Get a FREE new town" doesn't appear when i go to the store.  How do i get the FREE town?

    Hello iamarcana,

This means that you got the expanded Sunset Valley (instead of just the first half, hence the "additional half of the world"). It will not show in the Store though.

Speaking of Riverview, crinrict, whenever I try to download this world a script error message keeps popping up. My brother, who knows how computers work better than me, says this is because the file is corrupt. Perhaps this is why the download fails every time. Has anyone else had this problem?

Script error while download or on opening the launcher ? The launcher has issues with script errors, especially if Java and flash player are not updated but on downloading a file. I don't know.

Do you let the download open the launcher or do you have it open when you press download ?

It happens when the launch window opens. If it's javascript or flash player I would not be surprised. Updates for these programs never work on the computer I use for some reason.

    Try this

    1. Open the launcher

    2. Click away message (either option is fine)

    3. Open your browser

    4. Download Riverview

    5. Install Riverview

Finally got around to re-downloading Riverview. Well, after the usual two hours of loading nothing happened. It wasn't in any download folder nor could I install it. Eventually the file disappeared from the game launcher's download page without a trace. So, I am concluding the javascript and/or flash player is to blame, meaning that the computer I use can no longer be updated. If EA decides to put any of their worlds on hard copy like Hidden Springs, let me know.

Well the disc version they put in the store is basically a box with a code. They don't put the actual download on the disc. You'll end up downloading anyways.
