I have this same issue, I bought the world adventures via origin, however I don't believe there was a code sent with it all it says is install via your games on origin, all my other games have been activated and worked on my sims 3 page so I'm not sure why the world adventures is greyed out. So the redeem code that the support suggest below won't work because I can't do it.
P.S. I was able to get my free explorers loot, I just want the world adventures to no long be greyed out as I own this.
you might have to contact CS to see IF they can manually add the icon you your my page this one of the expansion packs that seems to have an issue showing up on the my page BUT if it is registered in your orign account and shows up in your origin my tabs games then it is registered you where able to download/install the icon is highlighted in your launcher and you can play it then everything is fine
