"You'll need a new app" Store Content Download Error; Windows 10

I have tried searching the HQ for a similar problem, but nothing comes up. I went on a (very long) hiatus, but have the bug again. So I have reinstalled the games + all my expansions through Origin....

@angryhealer  Did you restart the computer after you set the default program - it looks right. After reboot check to see if it is still set correctly. Do you have Adaware or a third party antivirus installed?

    I did restart my PC after applying the changes; the download still did not work. I have not checked to see if the file/program reverted; I won't be able to do that for another 7 hours.

    And no; I disabled my antivirus because it was throttling the downloads through Origin and haven't re-enabled it yet. I have no extensions applied to Microsoft Edge. I have ublock on Chrome.
