What do you expect to see? Even with Autonomy enabled Sims will from time to time stop doing anything without direct input. On occasion specific needs become frozen. For example one of my Sims was fine, until I told her to have a water balloon fight, after she finished she stood there doing nothing unless I gave direct input. Later she froze on the toilet with her need meter not increasing, after cancelling Use Toilet the need remained at nill. Then other household members began having the same issue with their AI not doing anything.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Sims 4 Seasons installed.
Since installing Sims 4 Seasons and it's pre-launch patch my sims will occasionally loose their Autonomy, even with it being toggled on and off and back on again via the options menu. They simply just stand around idle not willing to do anything.
Examples being my sim's son finished having a shower then stood in the bathroom from 4am to 8am (In-game time) until the game sent him to school
His mother stood idle in the backyard after a water balloon fight until she was starving and I had to tell her to get food.
And the father finished a jog with the dog and stayed at the other side of the local area by a stream until I realized he didn't return (6 hours in game time)
After this all began I noticed from time to time some needs will become frozen. The mother's toilet need is frozen at nill, the Father's hygiene meter isn't dropping and the son has lost the need to sleep. None of them have any perks.

How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)

What happens when the bug occurs? The sims stand and does nothing until you press esc and it does one step of the thing its doing, for example when going to the shower, first it goes and stands in front of it, press esc, then goes inside and showers, when done keeps on showering until pressing esc, then goes out of shower and stands there.
What do you expect to see? The sim doing the whole task itself to then go and do the next
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
note: All sims stops doing things, only the chosen sim does things when pressing esc.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I have seen that many people having the same problem. I have also seen a thread about this bug saying to start brand new game, erase sims inventory, low graphics etc. nothing helped me and the thread was locked. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Time-freezing-amp-Resetting/td-p/3806607 Or https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Time-freezing-amp-Resetting/td-p/3806607 And finally: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/FIXED-Issues-with-time-Clock/m-p/5095254#M47862 Nothing helped me.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims freeze and time is going forward as usual. They having activities on queue but they doing stuff they did in second they freezed. For a minute saving file and again loading it helping to fix it but minute (our minute) later they freezing again.... starting new vanilla game didn’t help.
What do you expect to see? Some answers that finally could help. I bought just pets and my first pet to finally get all sims 4 expansion packs and now I regret that now...

I guess the count of the objects in the current lot causing this problem. Whenever i start a new game with empty lot or with a lot containing less object, it works smooth. In time i am filling the lot with object and the game starting to lag, sims are freezing, standing like mindless zombies. I don't know. Those were just what i saw in the game.

Really? So you have noticed that too many objects on a lot is causing the problem...
i don’t know if that’s the case- did someone from ea developers confirmed that? I don’t have too many objects on my lot- maybe it’s subjective thing- how many objects are “too many” and how to measure that?
Ive noticed one strange thing.... maybe I could record that next time- when my sims are stuck there is something instant what fixing this problem instantly- I have a family with two adult sims and one child. When they freeze all I am choosing a child and for example giving it an order to for example “go here” or do whatever- just do. In that moment all sims are unblocked and doing things normally...

Merged your posts.
It's the same underlying issue so I'm creating a new collection thread for autonomy and simulation lag.

I don't think the amount of objects is the problem. My sims literally live under a roof with essential stuff (bed, toilet, fridge, table, etc). No extra decorations or anything. They don't even have walls, they live in the confines of a hedge.
I only started seeing this issue when I installed seasons. I previously had a home with a huge basement and loads of stuff in it for another family, that never froze like it does now.
I'll see if I can get a video of what happens tonight when I play. Like I put in my nug (I love how my phone corrected 'bug' so I'm leaving it) report; my sim yesterday got stuck repairing a fridge for 4 in game hours as the 2 kids sat on the bed with plates on their laps just staring at each other.

Did you installed seasons recently?
I’ve installed seasons on a premiere day- and there I remember I hadn’t any bugs. I think they Started to show after first seasons update (not latest update). Or it maybe start bugging with my recently downloaded Cats and Dogs (few days ago!!!). Anyhow few days ago I had every SP, EP and GP except CATS AND DOGS and MY FIRST PET and LOUNDRY.
