Whenever the Discovery Quests are active my sims can't play chess. Soon as the quest are over I can play chess again. I'm playing on a Windows laptop.

Sim is unable to play chess on library lot in willow creek, i have tried various chess boards, i can select play with another sim and when clicking the chess board it says 'sim doesnt have permission to use this'
I have just discovered this bug as well.

This is a brand new save after a fresh install of TS4.
I'm also having this issue. I can't play chess at the high school, and I have an active quest (the second week of the Christmas event). I don't have any mods.
Also having the same problem. Current event is the "Cozy Celebrations" with Jasmine Holiday. Residential lots and Libraries are being affected. However, the Park lots seem to be fine, for the moment.
