This bug is still in the game. And toggle the fame is not an option for me as a workaround, I never turn fame off and I don't want to start now. I hope this will get fixed soon since this bug influences at least my regular game play quite heavily, since I usually assign owners to all the retail stores in longer lets plays so that I can edit them more easily. Meaning I have a lot of saves where none of the retail stores work at the moment.

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.103.315.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them expect except For Rent, Journey to Batu and most of the kits. I have most of the Stuff packs but a few are missing.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Visiting a retail store owned by another family. Retail stores not owned by someone are unaffected.
What happens when the bug occurs? Employees won’t show up and buying something is impossible
What do you expect to see? Retail shops owned by other sim families stopped working.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now, I removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? The For Rent patch. I don't own For Rent though.
