[ARCHIVED] [CoL] Excessive use of Cross Stitch Basket

I have the same issue. Interactions lined up in queue will get cancelled so a sim can go cross-stitch. My sims continuously cancel sleep to go cross stitch. On their way to look after an infant or a toddler, the queued interaction is cancelled to feed their cross-stitch itch.

I’m having the same issue. I had to delete the basket for cross-stitching because my Sims wouldn’t stop doing that.

I've had this happen in my saves as well. I wonder if anyone's taken a look at the item tuning? It almost sounds like it's set to broadcast for autonomy at super-high priority, like infants. 

Sim who does not have cross-stitching set as "like", but does have other activities set as "like" is obsessively doing cross-stitch.  I like that he's doing it autonomously, but it is much too high a frequency.  He starts cross-stitching every single time he finishes any activity, and will cross-stitch instead of doing things like eat or sleep if I don't stop him and force him to take care of his needs.  He breaks off conversations with other sims in order to run off and cross-stitch.  He has several activities set as his "likes" but he does not do them because he is doing cross-stitch all the time.

I am not sure when this started happening since it's been about a year (real life) since I had a household with a cross-stitch box available.  A year ago this was not happening.

I would really like tuning on autonomy to be somewhere in between "never does it" and "does it obsessively".  Seems like we swing wildly from one extreme to the other with a lot of things in this game.

It is horrible! I tried to have a club with cross-stitching as one of the activities, within sim hours the entire room was full of half completed cross-stitching projects all over the floor. Even when I removed the activity sims would still autonomously pick up cross-stitching above all other actions, with them cancelling interactions in their queue to eat, sleep or use the restroom. it has become too much. 

I was using a mod to help curb the obsession with the cross stitch basket... but after the latest update, the mod no longer works and I remembered that this problem exists in the game! My Sim is completely obsessed. They seem to constantly queue up cross-stitching whenever they are near the basket, no matter what they are doing. I will delete it out of their queue and it just pops right back up again. Very annoying!

I do have NAPs active, but this was also an issue for me before I got the Eco Lifestyle expansion. 

I finally just used MCCC's Tuner function to run interference on autonomy for this activity. Eventually some of sims' random obsessions drive me nuts enough that I just nix their ability to mess with it on their own at all. Not ideal, but at least it keeps me sane.
