[ARCHIVED] Game Is Spamming Autonomous Dance Actions

I'm having this problem too with a toddler who aged up to a child. its gotten worse when he aged up it just keeps spamming. I'm repairing my game as we speak to see if this fixes the issue. How do I upload my save file?  (figured it out and sent the save file) I have a vanilla game if that helps

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a child or toddler sim on the same lot as a stereo currently playing music
What happens when the bug occurs? Sim queues hundreds of "dancing" interaction, queue does not become full, dancing queue does not stop unless sim is reset
What do you expect to see? Sim should queue only one "dancing" interaction
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Seems to only affect toddler and child sims.

It's happened to mine with and without living parents, and to single-person-household adults

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In live mode with a stereo playing
What happens when the bug occurs? Eventually a sim's entire queue will fill up with 20+ instances of "dance". If I don't notice quickly enough, pause, turn off the stereo, and delete the tasks, the game crashes
What do you expect to see? At most one instance of dance in the queue

My sims' queues keep filling with dance and causing the game to crash

Just wanted to update this post after the kind people in this thread helping me, it does weirdly seem to be if you have children/ parents. So maybe a connection with the parenting pack? I'm not sure besides it really only happens if your sim has parents.

I know this has been forever since you made the original post but this just started happening to me.

My game started acting weird when the Reaper Rewards started. It started with the Reaper Rewards not populating the tasks. Then, if I tried to prompt Woohoo with the reaper using a bed, the task would cross out in my sim's queue but the icon would stay there and they would do other tasks I ask them until I reset my sim and the reaper. It had to be both to make it go away. Then, two days ago, my Grimborn toddler started spamming "dance" to the queue until it fills up and crashes. There have also been other issues with getting my sims to do anything I am asking them. They will have the action queued up but will just stand there for a while until the task just disappears from the queue then they stop spacing out and begin the next listed task.

I have zero mods and I just removed my Save folder and my Tray folder and put them out of the way on my desktop. I then did a repair on my software and started the game up without adding the save or tray folder back. Before I did all that I had saved the sim I was playing and her daughter to the Gallery because she was the one I put through the Reaper Rewards. I went ahead and started the very first game on this fresh install and I added the mom and her daughter from the gallery and then moved them into the house I had saved to the Gallery. Within the first couple minutes of playing them on this fresh install, the toddler started to fill the queue up with dancing when I asked her to go for a walk to the backyard to look at the flowers.

If anyone wants to download these cursed sims from the Gallery and see if they can blow their game up, I have just them and their house uploaded to the Gallery.

You're welcome, yes this is the first time I've come across this bug.Strange how it didn't happen when starting a new family, although maybe they were just household members too. I've had many bugs this week like game crashing when going to a nightclub venue and not being able to follow my teen to high school, but I think that one is mod related. Anyway good luck and I hope you get the problem sorted soon.
