[ARCHIVED] [GTW] Alien townies look like regular sims in manage household

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.46.18.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of 'em
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When a new "alien" townie spawns in the manage sims. You edit the sim. You can see that it is a regular looking sim with the alien trait.
What happens when the bug occurs? Any time a alien sim 'townie' is generated
What do you expect to see? Alien townies spawn like a Alien.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

My Alien townies do not appear as aliens. They look like regular sims.  I had this problem for over a year now.

Look at the screenshots to see that this 'Alien' looks like a regular sim. 

Also her ofspring looks different than normal alien ofspring. He has normal skin tone, but alien eyes. (her + regular looking sim = weird hybrid)



I am aware that they can use disguise. But as you can see the "alien" doesnt have a green, blue, pink or white skin stone. No alien eyes. The lower part of her portrait should display her alien form.


I deleted her and a new 'alien' sim spawned. Normal looking but with the alien trait:



So I moved the 'townie' on a lot. And removed her disguise. The alien form appeared!

But shouldn't her Alien form appear in the edit a Sim (the manage world)? I looked into that and now she is an Alien, but her disguised is different?!

 




So I guess they are Aliens, but shouldn't they look like aliens in the manage household? Also the offspring is not suppose to have a normal skin tone but with alien eyes, right?

    Hello again,

    Sorry for not posting. I've tried all off the solutions you people have offerend, but I guess this is just how the game works.

    They spawn aliens in a disguise that won't hold their appearence.

    Maybe one day they realise that they should just spawn aliens in their colorfull glory instead of spawning them in a diguise. Atleast then you'll know if it is an alien or not. 

    For the time being it is just checking manage houshold if they have the alien trait, put them in a lot, change back to alien form and then change their disguise.

    Hey there, I just wanted to say that I'm having this issue as well. I'm not sure how to do the fancy form thing that everyone else was posting, but I'll try some solutions to see if they work.

    Basically, I moved in a townie, and once I moved him in I discovered he was an alien. If I click him to disguise or remove the disguise outside of CAS, he always looks the same in both forms. If I go into CAS with the disguise on, it's still the same disguise. But if I go into CAS as the alien, then the disguise is always a random one, not the set one (which I prefer), though the alien is still the same.

    I'm having the exact same problem! Except my offspring didn't even have visible alien effects, just the social options like talk about brain power and talk about humans.
