[ARCHIVED] 'Keep Furniture' not working when moving

Alright, so I tried a few more things to see if I could get the game to move my family properly, and none of them worked.

I tried moving to different lots, both in the same neighbourhood, and outside of WC. I still got robbed.

I moved them into their previous dwelling they lived in before Cypress Estates (an apartment). Robbed.

I tried selecting the option to keep the furniture, and like others have said: I was robbed, and no furniture migrated.

I made a $56k lot specifically to maximize their $60k budget, only to have negative funds when I arrived ...

(Or in other words, I was robbed so aggressively, that my future generations can consider themselves broke. Overkill, bro.)

Anyway, after putting it off for ten years (despite dealing with 100's of glitches), I finally read the thing about how to upload save files.

So I did. And hopefully I did it correctly. If not, I might try again, or wait another 10 years to attempt it again. But this is the link:

This just happened to me too, I play on PS5 and have all the packs. Game is fully updated to the most recent version.

I selected the option to keep furniture when moving to an empty lot, and no money was given to me for the furniture (about 60K of furniture) and it didn't go into household inventory. Just vanished. The five items I already had in household inventory were intact.

Luckily I made a save point just before choosing to move because I know how this game can let a person down.

I'm going to reload the save and go into build mode first, selecting what I want to keep and selling the rest. Unfortunately that takes far more time than it should if the game was working properly.

So weary of encountering bug after bug after bug in the last few weeks, sad to see what could be a consistenly great game break all the time.

UPDATE: I went back and selected sell all furnishings and didn't get the money for the $40K or so in furnishings that I left behind. I'm just going to cheat the money back and move on as that's apparently the only option.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?: Try to move household from Tiny home Lot type selecting Keep Furniture.
What happens when the bug occurs?: After Move, you'll find the empty household inventory, no Furnitures, gardening Plants on Lot etc.
What do you expect to see?: Move household with Keep Furniture normally.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?; Never used
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?: From Update for For Rent EP and it's still ongoing.

This Bug is still going on moving from Tiny Home Lot type after Update 10/01/2024.
It looks like you still need the save file, so I will email you the URL when it's ready.

November 1st 2024. I'm now experiencing this issue on PS4 so absolutely not a mod issue 

Platform: PS4 

Issue: household inventory empty on moving lot, I definitely clicked keep furniture, I even asked my partner to check when I went back a save and attempted moving again 

What should happen: furniture moves with household when keep furniture is selected 

When does it happen: every time 

DLC owned: all of it minus a handful of kits. 

When did it start: after installing life and death yesterday October 31st. 

This is happening to me as well on PC when trying to move to Ravenwood. It doesn't matter if I select keep furniture (furniture will remain at the sold lot) or if I sell my furniture (furniture still remains at old lot) - once moved my funds amount to prior simoleon balance less the cost of the lot. I can see during the loading screen my simoleon balance change from about $56k to $17k once loaded and in live mode. 

I tried moving all wanted furniture to my inventory prior to moving, cheating my balance to what it should be, then placing a house from the gallery. However, that resulted in the game crashing, not allowing me to place plants into planters from my household inventory, even with MOO. I'd click to place it, and it just wouldn't work. Instead of staying in place it continued to move with my cursor.

I've tried repairing the game with no success. I gave up after the game crashed. I don't use any mods.
