I have the same problem … vampire sim died from sunlight, got the ghost menu, clicked on rebirth and nothing happened…. The ghost was in the household and unclickable until I left the lot with a different sim. This was my first rebirth attempt in the whole game.

i think she had the paragon partner aspiration trait.
