TLDR; unable to load into a lot that used to be residential rental (ERROR CODE 800)
I've read through similar forums to this issue but still finding my issue unique.
I've had the exclamation marks above builds and I took it on the chin, went back into old backup saves. My Evergreen Harbor, Sulani, Willow Creek was broken. I could only roll back far enough to where only willow creek was broken. So therefore I'm looking for alternative solutions.
I think the issue stems from a For Rent glitch where I accidently went over 100 units and maybe the oldest residential rentals placed were broken. I've tried that TwistedMexi mod before to have more units but it actually never worked for me so I took it out. Then all of a sudden I could do more residential rentals, without the mod, so I was like ok cool maybe I didn't reach the limit yet. But when I was trying to place a non-residential rental from the gallery and it wouldn't work. Hovering over the grayed out button it said 107/100 units placed but I wasn't even trying to.
Anyways, I've settled for replacing every lot in Willow Creek that has that exclamation point. Good so far except the only lots I can't do that with are those that used to be residential rentals. When I try to load into them build mode they infinitely load, trying to use a household that lives there or travels there gives me and error screen on manage worlds. All of this combined is making me think this issue is For Rent centered.
I have:
- repaired game
- completely reinstalled game
- disabled For Rent and opened the save file
- tried placing lot from the world screen = infinite building lot screen
- tried traveling to lot = error 800
- taken out all cc/mods but I honestly think that makes it worse
When I load into nearby lots, it looks like either an empty lot or the base game lots that are originally there.
Just to specify it's only these two lots I'm having issues with. I noticed they aren't categorized as any lot type. As you can see in the screenshots it's just blank.
Ideas I have for solution but I'm unsure of how to execute it:
- editing the save file with sims4studio, is there some way I can restart Willow Creek altogether or remove the data for these lots?
- ...that's kind of it. I just don't want to start over completely for two lots. It'd be a whole different story if this was a pack world, I'd disable it, reenable it and rebuild that world but I can't do that with Willow Creek, can't I?
Tried to type less. Hope I explained the situation concisely enough. Any help appreciated especially if you know about editing save files or resetting worlds and lots.

Ok I would just like to reiterate this is For Rent specific and it's only happening on two lots. I have many rentals up and fine it's just these two I can't open at all. Which is odd because I've never even had a played family there only npcs.
- 2 years ago@BabyKitsch Better you return to a save without the bug. It's already to late for this one, even if it's just one lot at the begininng, it will expand.

I noticed this, it’s like a virus. I missed a lot when going back and now I’ve 2 in Del Sol Valley again 😭
