Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Make a family with a child and at least one adult who is not biologically related to the child (and also did not adopt the child through the adoption agency). Have the unrelated adult try to complete the super parent by raising this unrelated child. The final task of the aspiration (have a child with 3 positive character value traits) will fail to tick off when the child becomes a YA even when it has been achieved.
What happens when the bug occurs? The last task on the super parent aspiration is "have a child with 3 positive character value traits" and the game states that to do this the player must "have any household toddler, child or teen receive any 3 positive traits from character values upon aging up to a young adult". But this task does not tick off unless the child is the biological child of the sim with the aspiration. I have tried to complete this aspiration with the stepfather of a child who was marked as his care dependent from when she was a toddler. Although she was a household child who aged up with 3 positive character value traits, this task on the aspiration did not complete for him. I tried to complete the aspiration again with a sim who was not the biological parent of a child in their household but who had lived in that household since before the child was conceived and had always had the child marked as a care dependent. She aged up to a YA with 3 positive character value traits. The last task on the super parent aspiration ticked off for her biological mother, but not for the sim who was not her biological parent.
What do you expect to see? I expect that the final task of the super parent aspiration will, as it claims, tick off when any household child ages up to a YA with 3 positive character value traits, whether or not that child is related to the sim with the aspiration.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
