[ARCHIVED] Sims stops writing books

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Toddler stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Resume writing Sim stops after a few seconds to read random book
What happens when the bug occurs? I click resume writing, she sits down to do so then she cancels the writing to go read a random book. Seems like it doesn’t recognize she’s already doing something.
What do you expect to see? My sim to be able to resume writing without getting back up
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?

This happened right after the game updated

I used to have that bug before, in some saves/lots. The workaround was to queue two actions on the computer instead of one. For example if I wanted my Sim to write, I would queue Write Book and then Write Book again. Or Write Book and then Play Blicbloc. 

The actions wouldn't cancel out then, but you'd have to check to make sure they don't start the second action later lol.

I'm noticing this too.  Sometimes sims will get a writers block moodlet and won't be able to write for a while but my sims is not getting that moodlet but she still constantly stops writing.

What happens when the bug occurs? The Sim only writes for a few seconds then stops.

What do you expect to see? They should finish writing the book.

I had 2 Sims both trying to complete the archaeology aspiration, both at different PCs in the same room and both writing an Archaeology skill book. They both stopped writing over a dozen times. It was virtually impossible to get them to finish but they didn't do anything when they stopped, they just sat there. But the action in the queue was crossing itself out (image attached). I started watching the queued action and as the line fills up around the circle and gets to three quarters of the way around it suddenly crosses itself out and the Sim sits at the PC doing nothing.

I checked for mood changes incase they were the cause but their moods didn't change.

Hi @crinrict I'm adding a new writer tomorrow to a different household and will double check it. The affected household seems to be okay so far. 

Haven't been playing recently, but this only happens to my Sims sometimes in some saves/lots.
