[ARCHIVED] [XB/PS] Paint Mode crashes game

I am having same issue, when you select the paint option, shortly after Xbox x crashes and goes straight to Home Screen no error message

What is your current game version number? Latest Xbox x version
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Just cats and dogs expansion
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use an Xbox x, create a cat, use paint option
What happens when the bug occurs? Screen goes black and returns to Xbox Home Screen
What do you expect to see? Came shouldn’t crash and should be able to edit cat features as offered
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Just paid over $50 for the cats and dogs expansion for my daughter and everytime she uses the paint wheel it crashes. Xbox x user. Very frustrating

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a horse that was born in-game (it didn't happen with the horses I created) and then try to use the paint function in CAS
What happens when the bug occurs? I select the paint mode and I only see the interface for a second before the game crashes
What do you expect to see? I should be able to use the function on my horse

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Base game, cats and dogs, discover university, get to work, horse ranch, rockin rancher digital content, seasons
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have your mare give birth to a foal and try and use the paint tool in CAS on the foal (using cheats to gain access to CAS again) This doesn’t appear to happen to any of my other sims/pets (the other horses I have were rescued or purchased) although I’ve had this problem in the past with dogs but it was fixed
What happens when the bug occurs? The game crashes instantly
What do you expect to see? Be able to fully customise all of my sims and pets

I'm having this issue as well on ps4. Error code CE-34878-0

I've gone through all of the troubleshooting steps in this thread and nothing has worked to fix it. 

Is there anything else I can do? I've deleted and reinstalled the game, reset my PlayStation. Rebuilt the database in safe mode. And still nothing has worked. 

To add, I don't think this is PlayStations problem, I believe the problem lies in the Sims 4. Considering I've had no issues with this console and any other game.
