[BY DESIGN] [GRO] Creative Genius: 'play pretend' in treehouse not completing

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.397.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All but the Journey to Batu, carnival streetwear kit, fashion street kit and throwback kit
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a child with a creative genius aspiration try to play pretend in the treehouse
What happens when the bug occurs? The child plays pretend, but the aspiration step doesn't complete
What do you expect to see? The aspiration step completing
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

One of my Sims children has the Creative Genius aspiration, but when playing pretend in the treehouse, this doesn't complete the step "Play pretend in the Treehouse 0/1"

I tried to play pretend several times, and while she had a blast doing so, nothing happened aspiration-wise. Other goals of the aspiration ("Achieve level 3 creativity skill") did complete normally.

    Hello All,

    This is to inform you all the goal aspirations will get completed only when we perform "play pretend" not by "play pretend with" and this is shown as a tip when we hover our cursor over the goal under the sim aspiration window as shown below.



    If any of you still encountering the issue where the goal is not completed using "play pretend" on the latest game version (without mods), do let us know.

    Somehow the aspiration step did complete but only after pretend playing the Island Castaway. Not sure why that is, but this fix it for me.

    I am having a similar issue. My child has the Creative Genius aspiration and needs to "Sleep in a Treehouse for 6 hours" but no matter how long they sleep in the treehouse (and I've tried nap too), no hours accumulate so the aspiration can't be met. ☹️

    I had the same issue when selecting: Play Pretend With... (and then selecting another sim to play with). The aspiration only completed for me when doing a Play Pretend... alone. Then also other options (like fairy tale castle) worked.

    When selecting the exact options the aspiration tells you to select ("Play pretend"... instead of "Play pretend with..") It seems to complete.

    I'm not sure if this is intended or an oversight but it confused me at first.
