I am currently having a problem having my Sim play a detective as a career. My sim can no longer interrogate suspects and her cases end up stuck as unsolved. I've clicked on the table and selected 'Interrogate suspect' in the menu and then selected the picture of the suspect like you are supposed to, but nothing happens. I've even tried clicking on the suspect and it comes up with other police related choices but not interrogate suspect like it has before. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know a fix I can do?Thank you for any help or suggestions that you can give me 🙂

At first, the option to interrogate the suspect was greyed out and the game was telling me that there were no arrested suspects to interrogate (even though there was one). I'm not sure what changed, but now the option is not greyed out but when you click on it and select the suspect that you want to interrogate, absolutely nothing happens. Your sim will not do the action.This is a problem, since the promotion task for level 3 of the detective career is to interrogate a suspect - but you can't currently do this, so if you have a sim on level 3 they cannot get promoted to level 4. Also, in later stages of the career (level 4 or more), the promotion requirement is to have solved a certain number of cases. But, in order to solve a case, you have to successfully interrogate a suspect and thereby establish their guilt. You cannot currently interrogate suspects, so you cannot do this.

Hi, might be too late but I thought I'd post anyway.I've been having the same issue after replacing the police station with a new police station from the gallery. However i managed to fix it by going to build mode (using testingcheats on and bb.enablefreebuild) and then replacing the interrogation table with a new one, along with new chairs. You can find the interrogation table with the show hidden objects cheat. After replacing it, I can interrogate suspects as usual.Just posting it here in case this can help anyone else with the same issue.

@crinrict thank you for your reply. I did not change the colour of the table before experiencing this problem. After the problem started, I looked online and saw that changing the colour of the table is listed as a possible solution. So, I gave that a go but it did not fix the issue.

I cannot figure out how to change the color of the table, it won't let me go into build mode while my Sim is working and when I have her leave work it just sends her home. The police station isn't on any of the worlds maps I have so I can't use manage worlds to go into build mode to change it. I think I'm stuck maybe with this bug unless there's a back way to go into the game and change it???

@JovianneJoie If you don't know how, then you probably didn't change. There's a known issue for recolored tables, that's why I'm asking.

Could you test a new save for testing purposes to see if you have the same issue there ?

Not sure why I am unable to make a proper bug report, this just seems to be a normal thread rather than a bug report. My intention was to make a bug report though.
