[FIXED] Can't make friends

Same here. Extremely annoying and just ruins the entire experience for me, needs a fix ASAP.

Same here. My relationship bar is full and I can't get them past "impartial"

Same here, I can not get past impartial on any relationship. An oddity though, I got one sim to full romantic bar and Girlfriend status but when looking at her relationship status it says both 'Just friends' and 'Girlfriend', talk about mixed signals lol. As said this seems to be times with leaving a lot before you can fully friend some one. So if you start and they walk off having to go to work or something you are screwed. I know there is a MOD which can allow you to set your relationship status but i would rather not use it (I'm very prone to going too far with cheats so I never use them). This might also be tied into the never ending loading screen when you move between lots as well. At the risk of sounding like a broken record these problems only stated for me after downloading the spa pack.

Steps i have taken (In case you want to know)

Repair tool multiple times

Deleted all Mods (only had the one stopping constant hand washing anyway)

No custom content

Reinstalled 3 times (long time too, I have a digital copy but only 1 meg internet speed)

Removed the Sims 4 folder in /Document and restarted.

At this point the game is unplayable, I also managed to lose a years worth of generational families. Kids never came home from school and some members were missing. I would blame aliens but some of the family WERE aliens. Thus far ever new game develops with these bugs so i have had to shelve the game in hope of a patch soon, a bit disapointing seeing as how i wanted to play with the spas.

I am having the exact same issue. My sims keep interacting and they even max out the friendship bar, but their relationship never changes from "Impartial'.

I think this is the worst bug so far for me, I really don't want to play the game like this. Relationships were a huge part of the game for me and I can't wait for it to be fixed.

Since new update i have a big problem with my sims.  They cannot maike a relationship. althourgh bar friendship is a +70%,  even 100% they are still neutral. Thats impact aspiration  friend of all.

I was tried

- repaired  by origin

-  Reboot  game / computer

- creation new save / new family

- reinstalation game

I hawe the same probleme on my second computer.

And.. i dont use any CC or mods

I'm marking this post as solution, not because it's fixed but because there's a known workaround and I want to highlight this workaround.

When my Sims are speaking to each other the bar doesn't show when they've become friends. The green line gets longer but doesn't say they're friends/best friends etc. but if they start to flirt etc. it still says if they're sweethearts etc. why is this?! please help!🤔
