[LD] Sim who asks for mark of Edith functionally becomes Edith

Sorry for the basic reply but have you tried updating your mods if you have any? IF you don't, try the repair option through the EA app. I have tons of mods and i'm not getting any bugs so far

I have the same issue, not using mods or something. 

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 11
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? assign the trait “confidence of edith”
What happens when the bug occurs? other sims in my household and npc sims only have “attempt to communicate” rather than a full host of social options
What do you expect to see? regular social menu pop up when selecting sim
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. latest patch for life and death

if my sim selects the other sims the convo can happen but they can not speak to her even when selecting the “attempt to communicate” option

SOLUTION: I didn't permanently fix this issue I found it still happens sometimes BUT if you remove the sim from your household and add them back I found that fixes it. I would just recommend not getting the mark of edith after that.

Thanks for letting us know what could help, I'll try it now. I even tried a rebirth, but it didn't work - CAS would not load and the sim becomes a random infant without any family. 

And yes, I think you're right. The first time I contacted Edith, I was with only one sim and there were no problems. The second time I was there with two sims and one of them got the issue. So probably better go alone (although Edith is very creepy 😉).

I have a household that lives right next to Edith's gravesite. I had them interact with the well for courage to speak with her & for some strange reason, their interactions seem to be stuck. They treat other sims and mostly each other as if they were Edith when you click for interactions. This seems to be a vanilla issue since it still happens without any mods. I'm not sure what to do.
