Neutral/Not Sure My active household gets a notification that another sim died and the pop up asking about inventories. The pop up keeps happening, and the sim does not appear dead to my active sim in any way. If my sim travels to the dying sims household, I see the other sim die, get reaped, and then get up alive repeatedly. The dying sim only actually dies if I swap to their household, and then the pop up about what to do with their ghost appears. Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title, Adjusted Title

Hello,I just updated my game from the update yesterday 10/22/24, and now I keep getting the same message about my sim dying in another active household and where I would like her inventory to go. I don't have any mods installed so I know that's not the issue. Anyone else getting this repeat message over and over?Thanks

There's an option to disable that in the game settings, I think.

@Wyrm37 What happens if you click you don't want to keep the inventory ?Someone else reported this before and that help them. Can't find the thread currently but will merge this when I do.

Yes, this helps. But I want to save the inventory and I cannot, the popup keeps being shown to me and this option does not work. So it's a bug.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure. But I would guess that you should play with one household and have a sim in another household die. You should get the pop-up then.
What happens when the bug occurs? I was getting a pop-up that one of my Sims (in a household that I wasn't currently playing), had died and it was asking what to do with his inventory. I wanted to leave the inventory in the house (the middle option), which I selected. But it kept popping up again. And my sim wasn't showing up as dead in my relationships. It would not stop popping up (dozens of times), so I finally said to have the inventory live in the house with my sim as a ghost (which I didn't want, but wanted to see if it worked), and it did. The sim showed up as dead and the pop ups stopped.
What do you expect to see? I have never seen this popup before (I'm guess it is from Life & Death? But I don't own it). So I didn't expect to see this at all.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

This happened in my game today. I visited a household and there was a sim who died in a fire and I got the pop up asking about the inventory. I picked the middle option, household inventory, and the dead sim was brought back to life to just die again and I got the same pop up asking about the inventory. This time I deleted the inventory and the sim remained dead. He left two urns the first one didn't belong to anyone and the second one was his urn.
