Adoption Agency won’t leave.If you’re having trouble where you selling a pet or giving a pet up for adoption and the adoption agency is glitch and won’t leave your lot. Causing you not to be able to travel, not even talk to the agent or do anything else especially save! Then I have the solution! That’s if you’re ok with cheats. You would do the cas.fulleditmode then shift and click on the person and click theAdd to familyAfter that the glitch is gone and you can remove the person out of your family. This worked for me. I hope this helps.

So I had a look to see if others have had this issue. But I could only find similar issues that had happened years ago. So, I'm hoping to get some up-to-date advice. I created a new household and was playing just fine. I figured out you could sell kittens so when my cats made one I put it up for adoption to make some quick funds. I got the money almost instantly. I didn't even see how much I got tho that may have been because it was on fast forward. I defiantly to the money it was 200 or something. But then a few moments later the adoption service NPC Lady turned up. She stood there for a moment doing her animation with her hand, I assume to show picking up or putting down the pet crate but never did. but then she never left. She has been there for about 45 minutes now in real-time and many days in the game. My sim will go to work, sleep lives his normal life, and she is just there. Mostly continuing to do her picking up the kitten animation loop. But She has even walked around the house, cleaned the toilet watched TV, and changed her outfit from a work suit to a basketball outfit. Which I find odd. The kitten is still on the lot and logged as I still own it, aging and living a pretty normal life, eating pooping etc. Tbh it wouldn't really be too annoying if the woman never left even tho I can't interact with her at all. The main issue is I can't enter build mode, travel, or save the game. So I'm going to have to now lose the hours of gameplay. Does anyone know what I can do? Is there hope for saving my game? Will the game catch back up and sort itself on its own? Well... After I wrote my first post, I went back into the game, my sim went to put his bed down got crushed by the "tiny living bed" the adoption service lady was shocked, still wearing her basketball outfit may I add. And that was it... Game over. I guess I'm not too upset. Since the glitch made it so I couldn't save the game anyways. Unsure if there was a link to the sudden death or coincidence. I hope this made for a good story. -I'd still love to know if there is a way to un glitch the game if I ever encounter it again tho! 🙂 Just a follow-up. Once death came, the game over screen pops up. Giving you the option to save and manage worlds or exit. I saved the game but then it keeps you in the game with the household. You have no access to any of the sims ( i only had 1 human the rest were racoons/cats) All the cats are no longer there as they get taken away. The adoption service NPC and death just hang out. Until death leaves and the NPC Lady just stays in the house... So effectively the adoption lady stoll your house. You can't do anything from this point other than quit the game pretty much or just watch the NPC. Lastly, even tho it gave me the option to save. After you quit the game if you go back to your save file it doesn't count as being saved. So you do lose all the gameplay

This seems like a valid reason! I was playing in an edited version of the tiny living starter house. So this defiantly seems like why the lady couldn't do it and therefore entered into the glitch. Will keep this in mind for next time! Thank you!There were no options and you couldn't click on her. I'm glad my gameplay was amusing. :D

I can't save, I can't go into build mode, I can't travel because it said I cannot do anything because a sim is dying(???) so then I tried to put the pet up for adoption. Someone else came and the action of the dog being taken away resumed, but now there's still a crate on the lot making actions still frozen except this time it's saying because there's a sim leaving my house. Either times, I couldn't interact with the social workers but they went about their life as if they were living in my house. What do you expect to see? I expect to see the crate to go away or be able to at least travel or build so that I can remove the crate. Or at least interact with the social worker. NoCheat will also not work likely because of the limbo my sims are in, aka, a sim dying or leaving the household so I can't reset any objects or sims or anything.

@Lil_Redd12 Could you please patch your game and check if the same issue occurs ? You're several patches behind if 1.59 is your current patch number.

The pet adoption feature is stuck, the adoption agent is walking around my house and the dog will not go, i can't save the game nor do anything else, Is there anyway to somehow reset this feature and not loose my progress?

Sorry I couldn't view which version I had because I wasn't trying to leave my game and didn't know how to view it. But I actually have the 1.62.67.1020 version! Also, I was only able to resolve the issue by having a baby, which forces the sims to go to the hospital. That was the only way I could leave my lot and when I got back, the crate and the social worker were gone.

@MariWolfYT It's possible that one of the NPC Sims temporarily glitched or had an action get stuck. First though, you might want to double-check that the game isn't waiting on you to take some kind of action, i.e. either adopting the pet or clicking on the agent and selecting "End Adoption Evaluation". If it is a glitch though, you can try using the Reset Object (Debug) option on the adoption agent and/or the dog.
With testingcheats enabled Shift + Click on the Sim and select Reset Object (Debug). Try using it for both Sims and hopefully they will be able to complete whatever actions were holding things up.

What happens when the bug occurs? You cant edit the lot, travel anywhere else, save the game, manage worlds, etc

I adopted a dog and got a notification that the pet evaluation was ending. Although, the game doesn't seem to realize that it ended. I can't go into build mode, CAS, I can't travel, and most importantly I cant save. The problem is I can't remember the last time I saved the game, so I don't want to lose a bunch of progress. Any suggestions?

@britneyelainemil The only known workaround that seems to work is having a baby at the hospital as this will end the process. Otherwise you will need to shoot down the game.

Does this happen every time you try to adopt a pet and if so, did you test without mods ?
