This might be related to the eye shape bug, but it could be a different bug. I wanted to make separate bug post just in case it doesn't get noticed. When you select an eye preset that comes with eyeliner/eyelashes it is now much lighter than it used to be. @EA_Cade No problem on closing my previous post about the eye bug and other eye related bugs. I did end up finding a topic on the eye shape bug. However, I couldn't find anything on the lighter eye preset eyeliner, so I figured it might be a good idea to make a post specifically on this issue. When you zoom in on the below two images, you can see that the eyeslashes that come with preset eyes are lighter in color with the eyeshape bug error version of my sim vs the darker eyelashes on the non-bugged eyeshape version of my sim.Darker preset eyelashes with no bugged eyeshape:LIghter preset eyelashes with bugged eyeshape:

There is indeed a slight change. See images below.First image is before the patch (the lashes are solid black), second image is after the patch (the upper part of the lashes is brownish).

I have this issue in my game as well but it's much worse in live mode. Below are pictures of the same sim before and after patch and as you can see, the preset eyeliner/lashes appear very light grey.

Out of all the sims I took screenshots of, the preset eyelashes being a different colour is the most visible on this sim, especially when she wears the black eye makeup.Before:After:On the plus side, they fixed the wonky nose piercings 👍🏼 (they were stretched out and looked absurd on some noses)

Can we please get this flagged as open. It's a critical issue. The other two critical eye bugs are flagged as open, and it would be optimal to get all three of these bugs fixed in a single patch because they all affect the appearance of the sims and render TS4 unplayable for a lot of us storytellers because we can't take screenshots with these critical eye bugs.

I'm glad to see that this bug is under the radar now. With the eyelids not closing bug now being fixed in the next update, that leaves two critical eye bugs remaining, this bug (lighter eyelashes with preset eyes) and the eye shape bug in which are both open and under the radar. I have restored hope! If these remaining two critical eye bugs are fixed before the Life and Death expansion, I will be a very happy person! It has been painful not being able to progress on my sim story because of these critical eye bugs.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: all except Growing Together, High School Years, Horse Ranch, For Rent, Lovestruck, and Life and Death. Game packs: all except My Wedding Stories and Journey to Batuu. Stuff packs: all except Home Chef Hustle and Crystal Creations.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Sim with preset eyes with eyelashes. No need to add additional eyelashes from a new CAS category.
What happens when the bug occurs? In CAS, the eyelashes appear to be black as they always were. When in Live Mode, the eyelashes of the preset eyes become a different colour.
What do you expect to see? Black standard preset eyelashes like they always were. Or at least a Sim with eyelashes which colour match both CAS and Live Mode.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

I noticed this... bug? glitch? all the way back in August/September but nobody ever mentioned it and I thought I was just crazy. I had a beautiful female Sim with big eyes and I often compared her to a little doll, but after a while I've noticed her face looked... off? It wasn't as prominent as before. It took me a while to realise it was the lack of defined eyelashes!! (blonde screenshot).
I know for a fact the age of my save isn't the case (I made it Dec 2019) because I have screenshots of this sim with black eyelashes!! I checked my other save and one of my favourite households had this trouble too!! One of my brown-haired sims didn't have black preset eyelashes but the colour was different from the blonde one. (brunette screenshot).
I thought it might be the case of eyelashes taking the colour of the skin, as it used to be a very common bug some time ago. So, I decided to use a different sim - a purple bald alien. Result? Purple eyelashes!! No hair to take colour from, no nails for the clipping or anything, the skin was all that could've been causing the changed colour. (alien screenshot).
