If there is a moderator on here, you might want to combine our bugs since there both effecting both always fly as bat and mist form of vampires. Looks like the last update broke the special movements of using a vampire for some reason. Both the mist form movement and always fly as bat appear to be broken. The fast moving is not broken though..it works fine.
@crinrictI don't have any spellcasters in my game. I can make a new family and use one of them as spellcaster though..or use a premade sim that is already a spellcaster in that one neighborhood. Let me test it out and ill get back to you.
Also, im pretty positive the vampire bugs are the one and same, as you posted above. Since i posted about the same time as the other person did, i did not realize they posted about it first, but im guessing the more info you have about this bug, the more helpful it will be to EA to fix it.
UPDATE: So i started playing a magical sim, and already found a bug with it. I will post the new bug in the forum though..i will still work towards determining if the magical sims are broken with movement like transporto..and their broom. In the meantime, ill post the new bug i found with the realm of magic on another post.

@crinrictI wanted to update you on the vampire situation since i did a origin repair and did some playing extensive testing of my magical sims in the game. First off, i had some issues with realm of magic, but with a origin repair, it almost fixed all the ones associated with realm of magic (EXCEPT THE CAULDRON ONE). So far my sims now can use brooms and use teleport to move places. I even seen random townies now using brooms and teleporting, so for me, this is fixed. This bug does not effect the realm of magic movement methods.
As for vampires though, sadly a origin repair did not fix their issues with the movement. They are still broken.
WORKAROUND: Turn off ALWAYS MOVE AS BAT and ALWAYS MOVE AS MIST FORM. This will prevent some of the issues with these special movement types for vampires. I hope EA fixes this soon. I still want to do wohoos as bats with my vampire family. It breaks immersion of vampires in sims....
NOTE: I also posted bug reports on open reports of the same bugs i have experienced in my game. There are quite a few of them i put updates on, so please check them out if you feel like it. I hope the information i provided on them helps with them getting resolved. If not, at least the forum has all the info i know now and all the bugs i had in the game.
