I ran into this glitch/issue today with one of my child sims. After finding this thread I started looking for and removing any CC relating to teeth. Inevitably after removing the loose tooth, I was still getting the same black skin glitch. I thought it was hopeless until finally found a set of CC coloured braces that once removed the problem disappeared. I don't know if that helps anyone

Hello! I've helped test this bug with someone who had this same issue - we determined the bug to be tied to the PYXIS default replacement teeth, which have not been updated since 2017.If you had these teeth in your game when this bug occurred, your sim (and save) is very likely corrupted. You would need to clone those sims and move them to a new save to remedy this if that is the case.Even if you don't use PYXIS replacements, any other default replacements (perhaps barring the ones by IceCream4Breakfast as they've been updated) are subject to causing the same issues.I do not use default replacement teeth in my game and did not run into issues at all with losing teeth after this patch.

I am experiencing this bug once again as well. My game is modded. This is a really old save file (2015), and the sims was probably born before the patch that was supposed to fix this. I'll load without mods and see if it still happens.EDIT: I just loaded my game without mods, and had the child pull out their tooth. The corruption did not happen, so it must be mod related then. If I ever find out which mod, I'll report back.

I found the piece of CC that broke it: a set of custom content children's teeth. Makes total sense, and posting it here in case someone else runs into this issue!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Wait for a child to have a loose tooth and immediately pull it out. Their skin will turn black.
What happens when the bug occurs? Skin turns black on a child sim when pulling out loose tooth.
What do you expect to see? Not their skin turning black

Please actually fix this one this time. I don't know what to do because I really enjoy playing this specific family. Please help. I don't want my child sims skin turning black after I try to pull out a loose tooth.

@SimplyDeeSims Did you make sure to delete the localthumbcache file after removing your mods ? At which point did you delete them ? When the Sim was already black or did you have a child turn black without any mods/cc installed ?

Hi! So recently i’ve been experiencing this bug that was fixed. I have mods and cc but i have deleted everything i thought would be causing the issue but still my sims child looks like he has lost his soul everytime he loses a tooth.
