@elelunicy I was able to download your build and take a look in game, and I can confirm the dark cabinets glitch shows up in my game as well. Another player also uploaded a test build, and in looking at both yours and hers, one thing I noticed that they have in common is multiple levels. I found, while testing yours, that if I deleted a set of stairs (on any level), the cabinets were no longer darkened. The other player had created an open story area, and deleting the stairs did not resolve her glitch, but drawing a complete room over the open area did. Given the results of these tests, I think we're dealing with a problem in how light is flowing from one level to the other (or getting cut off), in ways that it shouldn't. I can't be absolutely certain of the cause, because when I tried to recreate the issue by building a similar structure from scratch, it did not occur. However, if you wouldn't mind leaving your test build up on the Gallery, I think a dev should be able to take it from here. Let me tag @SimGuruNick, since he has already popped into thread once or twice.

This also happens to pilars that are indoors!
Lighting in general seems very glitchy since the patch.
Same thing with the cabinets, outdoors seems fine, but indoors the lighting does not work when being placed in a wall.

@JOL1990YT Is there an example of the darkened columns problem on the Gallery? If so, would you provide us with a link? Thanks!

the picture shows the pilar being completely black, but its actually the white option. even with al ight above it it stays superdark

@JOL1990YT Yes, I could see the problem in the pic, but I'm having trouble recreating the darkened items in my game. Thus, if there's a build with the problem available on the Gallery, I'd like to take a look at it, plus that way we can direct the devs to something that they can get their hands on in order to identify the cause of the issue.

I am removing [Interior lighting glitch creates black shadows on the ceiling of open story areas] from our index, as it has been fixed in the 10/25/16 patch.

I've uploaded a lot to the Gallery that has a lighting issue where white cabinets show up bluish black. It's named EA Help Lighting Issue. You need to turn on Advanced to find it. I forgot to remove some CC autos. The lot goes on the Yuma Heights lot. Would suggest testing it there as white cabinets seem to work else where.
This is a new issue. Previous to the last patch and CL this was not a problem.

@BryonyRae for the darker cabinets problem I found out that for any size of room has now a limit of 10 source of lighting (window + light) before it starts to darken the cabinets and even the room. To try this, just build a room flat on the ground, let say 10x10. On one wall put cabinets then put windows and ceiling lights in it. When you reach the number 10 of the total of lighting sources (windows + lights) and you click on a ceiling light you'll see the cabinets get slightly darker. Continue after this and you'll see the cabinets get real dark when you click on the ceiling light. Pass 10 sources of light the ones you add don't add lighting to the room.
Temporary solution till a patch, reduce the lighting sources for the room that has cabinets in it, by enclosing them in a smaller room, (less possibility of having more than 10 sources of lighting in small areas)
To check if your house is really "repair" save it to your library and put it back on your lot. Adjust the lighting ratio till you get cabinets lighted to your liking.

I am having a curtain bug where the caress curtains from the base game look dark blue instead of the teal I picked, happens every time I go off a lot with loading screen and then back, this might be lightening related as when I try to use the design tool to change them back they seem to be teal but showing dark blue, if I replace them they stay teal until I go through a loading screen and back home then they look dark blue again.

Adding on behalf of @ju1ka:
Morse's Window Shades (from Get To Work) appear way too dark in certain rooms in certain apartments (the apartment in the image below is 121 Hakim House in Art Quarter. In case time of day plays a role, it's 10:26 AM on a Saturday in the game)

@ju1ka I have tested and can confirm your issue with the GTW Morse's Window Shades being too dark in 121 Hakim House. I tried other curtains/blinds also and did not see any problems with them. I will add this one to the index.
