Re: [GF] Starlight accolades hosts incompetent

I'm on PS5 all packs and kits. My host arrives over 2 hours late. Takes almost an hour to stand at the mic and then only 1 or 2 people get their awards, just like another comment I saw. I have never had this issue before. I had a break from playing over the holidays, I was only logging in to do the special events. Now that I have time to play again, I started to go to the awards ceremony and it's frustrating. I have even tried showing up at 2 in the afternoon hoping it would give the game more time to decide to spawn the host. No deal. 

For those that have a Host that is unreasonably late, try going to the lot and then going into CAS for a moment. I just did that and when I came out the Host was standing there waiting. I'm going to try it again the next Sim week and see if it works. I'll make and edit to this post to add information on whether it worked again.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Attend the Starlight Awards 

What happens when the bug occurs? The host arrives late, sometimes just in time to say the Awards are over and goodnight.

What do you expect to see? The host turning up on time.

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

Please describe the patch or change you made: Life and Death pack installation and associated patches.

The host is sometimes just standing in the car park and behaving like a fan, they change every time even though the original host was Katrina Caliente and she's still in my game. It started changing to these random Sims and stopped working properly. My Sims are nominated but the event is so short there's rarely time for the awards. It's so frustrating to see them walk up to the mic just in time to say goodnight! I've even tried arriving there at 3pm to give extra time in the hope that will make a difference but it doesn't.

How I wish I could bring back Katrina she was so professional, isn't it a shame when the new host just doesn't measure up!
