[WORKAROUND] Sim has Mermaid Discovered trait (never been mermaid)

    @fishonamission Did you completely create her from scratch or download from the gallery ?

    The Sim has a mermaid discovered trait what seems to be causing the issue

    You can use the cheat: traits.remove_trait occultMermaid_discovered  to remove that trait

    She should be fine after that.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Island Living, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get Together; Jungle Adventure, Dine Out, Spa Day, Outdoor Retreat; Perfect Patio Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff; Happy Holiday Stuff, Grim's Ghoulish Guitar
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Take a bath with a sim in a household with mermaids.
What happens when the bug occurs? The mermaid-bathtub-animation also occurs with normal sims. The legs get really long and hang out of the bathtub.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see a normal bathtub-animation, with normal legs resting in the bathtub.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I've got a Mermaid and a normal Sim together with a Merman-child in my household. When I tried to take a bath with my normal Sim he showed this weird animation so I tried to change him into a Merman and back into a normal Sim, however it didn't fix the problem. Please find a screenshot of this weird animation attached.

    No, he wasn't, and now that I turned him back into a normal Sim with the cheat traits.remove_trait trait_OccultMermaid he still has the mermaid interface with hydration and the weird behaviour in the bathtub.

    Okay so I used the cheat again now with the Sim's Name after traits.remove_trait occultMermaid_discovered and got rid of the animation, now it's only the mermaidinterface with hydration that is still present.

    Okay now the animation's back again..

    @IncredibleJoe_ probably still some other trait that needs removing. SInce your not opposed to mods, download Show/Search Sim Info Mod from MTS and check if the SIm has any other hidden mermaid traits still and remove those as well.

      I removed the mermaid interface:

      traits.remove_trait trait_OccultMermaid_TYAE

      then the animation:

      traits.remove_trait trait_OccultMermaid_Discovered

      Both worked.

      After that I restarted the game. The interface was still normal however the trait trait_OccultMermaid_Discovered returned for some reason.

        @IncredibleJoe_ Weird. Did you have any mermaids being recovered when it did ?

        I mean, there is this bug that the trait gets added to non-mermaid Sims and it seems something is triggering this.
