[WORKAROUND] [V] Vampires can't be resurrected by Book of Life
I didn't actually make the ghost do it. It was just kind of done. I know, that's not very helpful. But the book was never in the bookshelf when I ordered the ghost to read it. Maybe it has something to do with the ghost finding the "best" spot to put it, and doesn't actually realize he/she needs the book in world to resurrect him/herself.
Maybe try having the book be written by another household (Though that's iffy at best; I've had Sims sometimes put other people's stuff into their inventories in the past). That's also why I would not suggest this as a workaround as it's notoriously unreliable. Once the "restore life" interaction completes, where the book is placed is entirely up to autonomy.
One thing to note was that I didn't actually have any bookshelves - but that didn't stop my ghost from putting the book into her own inventory. Then she places it in world twice in a row and I'm like "how am I supposed to even test this?!?!"
