Oh @IllusoryThrall, I'm so sorry to hear all that! I was hit by a car while on my motor scooter when I was in grad school and it left me permanently disabled. I'm glad to hear that he's not worse off but that's still a helleva injury! He's lucky to have someone as giving and caring as you in his life. I know that my community saved my butt after my crash, even when my grad school wasn't being supportive. And that sucks about your car repairs, especially soon after buying it. :( What a crap week! *hugs* if you want them.
