24 Day Fiance Challenge

24 Day Fiancé Challenge

After playing The Legacy Challenge for years, I decided to try some more challenges and really start getting involved with The Sims community. After playing The Drifter Challenge, I had an idea for my first ever challenge. I really hope you have as much fun as I did playing through it.


If you'd like to keep track of the challenge, I created a Google Sheet to help.  You can find it here. Please save a copy of it into your own drive or download it.


**Setup**


Optional:

  • Pick a world your Sim won’t be living in. If you own Jungle Adventure or Outside Retreat, it’s easier to pick one of these for gameplay reasons.



  • Once playing, feel free to edit the look of the locals by using a mod(if you have one) or by hitting Ctrl + Shift+ C and then entering "testingcheatsenabled true" - shift+click - edit in CAS



Required:



    • Start with any season






    • Create your Sim. Your Sim must be a Young Adult, Adult, or Elder. (Choosing an elder can make the challenge really difficult) You can pick what you’d like or you can randomly generate traits and aspirations. https://createarandomsim.com/






    • You may start with a child or children and/ or pets. Maker sure that you leave one household slot for your fiance to take when he/she moves in.






    • You may choose any lot and build a home, but it cannot exceed the funds you begin with. You may not use money cheats. You must leave at least 300 Simoleons for traveling.







    • After you are satisfied with your home, reduce your money down to 300 by hitting Ctrl + Shift+ C and then entering "testingcheatsenabled true" followed by money 300.




  • Once you’re ready to play, go into live mode and hit play.



**Gameplay**


Not Allowed:



    • Youth potions






    • Becoming a Vampire






    • Money Cheats (unless stated)




  • Relationship altering cheats



Main Goals:



    • As soon as you hit play, the challenge has begun. You have 24 days to find and marry a Sim from another world.






    • You may not play as any other Sim, but the one who will have the fiance.







    • Once you have a job, select your cell phone and hit “Take A Vacation”. If you do not have either the Jungle Adventure or Outdoor Retreat packs, have your Sim Travel to a lot that contains a bed, kitchen, and a bathroom.


      • If you didn’t take a vacation, set you money to 40 simoleons.








    • Once on vacation begin introducing yourself to every Sim you meet. With each Sim, use the “Get to Know” interaction.






    • The first Sim with either the materialistic, romantic, or erratic trait will be your future fiance.






    • Once you find your fiance, try to get as high a friendship and romantic relationship as possible.






    • You can stay no more than 2 days on your vacation.






    • If you find your partner at Salvadorada, your romantic interest must be a local






    • After vacation, communicate at least twice per day, either by phone or computer






    • No visiting each other until §1500 in household funds




        • Can not stay more than 2 days






        • Fiance cannot visit your main sim unless they are engaged




      • If chosen sim has non-committal or klepto trait they cannot visit your Sim at all (the marriage must occur in chosen sims home area)








    • Ask at least 1 other sims who know chosen sim about chosen sim






    • Once Sims are engaged, all close friends and family of both Sims must have a good standing relationship with both Sims






    • If fiance moves in, deduct money to prior amount.  If prior amount was below 500, set simoleons to 500




        • Once in household, fiance can be edited in CAS (appearance only)




      • Sim can be given a job






  • Sims cannot get married until 2 days before birthday or until past 10 days if an elder



Other Goals:



    • Have 1000 satisfaction points






    • Have at least 1 friend




  • Accept every other outing invitation except from chosen romantic interest


    • Going on dates with other Sims is optional





Pack Goals:



    • Outdoor Retreat


      • Stargaze with Fiance at least once








    • Get to Work


      • Have photos of you and love interest








    • Luxury Party


      • Throw a rehearsal dinner with buffet table








    • Perfect patio


      • Woohoo in hot tub with fiance








    • Spa Day


      • Visit the spa the day before the wedding








    • Cool Kitchen


      • Make ice cream








    • Spooky Stuff


      • Have a Spooky party (add to calendar if seasons)








    • Get Together


      • Create or join a club and attend at least once per 7 days








    • Movie Hangout


      • Watch a movie together








    • Romantic Garden


      • Play in fountain and toss a coin in








    • Dine Out


      • Have a date at a restaurant








    • Kids Room Stuff




        • Have at least one voidcritter card if no kids in household




      • If you have kids in the household, you can control the child once per day to have a voidcritter battle. Your goal is to win the battle.








    • Backyard Stuff


      • Drink lemonade








    • City Living


      • Attend all festivals




          • Collect as many snow globes as you can




        • Have at least 1 piece of furniture from flea market










    • Vintage Glamour


      • use a vanity table(main or partner sim)








    • Vampire


      • Create a garlic braid








    • Bowling Night


      • Go bowling with a fiance








    • Parenthood


      • Prepare a sack lunch and keep it in inventory for work








    • Fitness Stuff




        • Listen to headphones at least once




      • Workout to fitness channel video








    • Toddler Stuff




        • If there is a toddler in the household, have a playdate




      • If no toddler in household, give any Sim in your neighborhood a toddler and befriend the toddler








    • Cats & Dogs


      • Own at least 1 cat or dog








    • Laundry Day


      • Own a washer/dryer or washtub/clothesline or a combination of either








    • Jungle Adventures


      • One artifact in home








    • My First Pet


      • Own a rodent






  • Seasons




      • Once engaged, add 3 unique holidays to the Calendar




    • Must choose 3 of following holidays to add to calendar or create your own.


      • Spring




          • Carnival(Carnaval)




              • Costumes should be brightly colored, masks can be worn






              • Meat should be eaten along with lots of drinking




            • Dance in street areas with other Sims
