Add fertilise all option to gardening

No, a good idea but you'd have to make sure your sim had enough fertilizer in their inv. beforehand - the option could remain greyed-out if not.

Agreed, need this in game.

Maybe it's this way because they want you to have the option to pick what to use for fertilizer? The item and the quality? I don't know. The option would be convenient, but one would have to be careful not to have, say, a cowberry seed or something you don't want to lose in inventory. Auto-fertilize might pick ANYTHING.

Sims 3 had a "fertilize all using best ingredients", but I never used it because I didn't want to lose life fruits, etc.

I didn't know that about Sims 3, but yeah, that's the point I was making. Don't want to lose precious stuff while not paying attention to what's being used for fertilizer.

How about add an option that when you click on it, a list of fertilizers will come up and you can "tick" all the fruit/fish/etc... that you want your Sim to use as fertilizers for your garden, then when you click "OK" your Sim will start using all the fruit/fish/etc you ticked for fertilizing, and when they run out of one they will start using another. Sorry if I sound too confusing. :# This requires a little bit of work (ticking all the things you want your Sim to use as fertilizers) but may work more efficient in my opinion. :)

My gardener family has about 100 plant, most getting close or at perfect quality. I have spent so much time individually clicking on plants and going through inventory to to fertilize everything! I'd love to see a fertilizing station again. Add your ingredients, wait a bit and sims can fertilize whatever needs it. There has to be a way to cover a large area more easily....

I would absolutely LOVE a way to fertilize more than one plant at a time. I really like your idea @SweaterKat Just to expand on it a little, perhaps once you make something into fertilizer, a running tally of how many plants can be fertilized with what you have made could be posted at the top of the personal inventory window along with the number of plants you currently have in your garden that are ready to be fertilized. Or perhaps this information could be kept in the notebook available via your Sims cell or a computer.

That way you'd know if you had made enough and could sell any excess fertilizer material (plants, fish, pet poop, etc.) or send your Sims to get more if needed. Of course, your Sims could always make more than needed at that time too to keep a supply on hand when more plants are ready later. I think it would be good too if depending on the volume/quality of the material used, you'd get more or less fertilizer. For instance, perhaps one daisy would fertilize only one plant, but a good sized catfish would fertilize 3-4, more or less. Does that make sense?

Another advantage of having a fertilizer system like this is you'd always know if any plants need to be fertilized rather than having to manually click on each one to check. It would be a huge time saver for those with large gardens and so much more efficient.

Probably too complicated/time consuming to implement considering other things deemed more important to be updated, but a Simmer can dream! :)
