Add on pack for Get to Work

Get to Work was my favorite pack of all time so when I originally heard we were getting another retail expansion with Sims 4 I was excited the excitement quickly ended once I played it after release have not played since they really gave us no reason to as everything is unlocked already in CAS and build mode, its beyond basic game play with really nothing to do.

New or updated objects
- A fully working cash register with complete animations so customers leave the store with a bag
- Clothing rack (who thought purchasing off a mannequin was a good idea)
- Changing room
- Toy crafting station (create things like kites, jack in the box, dolls, rc cars and more possibly bikes for kids)
- Stylist chair
- Lemon-aid stand (pack cant be only for adults working)
- Cologne - perfume stand (possible turn on turn off if that ever comes)
- Ticket machine (So you can make money off any lot want a movie theater make one and actually earn cash)
- Tattoo chair

New in CAS
- Painted nails basic the rest is done in salons
- Body hair

Not in CAS
- Clothing hair and new tattoos from this pack locked to the stores, salons and parlors

Play as employee not just manager don't slack off the boss is watching

Skills
- Register
- Restocking
- Cosmetology (waxing, cutting hair, painting nails and makeup the higher up the more options and happier your customers are)
- Toy making
- Tattoo Artist (Will your Sim get a work of art or a stick figure that they will have to get removed. Skill up to get more options and happier customers)

    Yessss to all of this
  • Home business would be amazing, (instead of having to make you sim live on a retail community lot)
  • Yes please to all of this, especially the toy station and clothing racks!
  • And changing rooms for clothing stores. (All these ideas sound amazing!)
  • I agree with this totally, but I also think that the follow your sim to work feature should be added to. Why only the three new jobs? They could have added play-able options to careers that already existed and more of them, and I really think that they should have made an option to teach at a real school and to follow children to school.

The retail career also seems too difficult to get people to buy items. Most of the time my employees just don't do anything and make the customers angry...
  • I would love it if we could have family businesses and restaurants and stuff where your family or household works at the store or restaurant and you could avoid paying wages to npcs who just mess up or just fool around. I'd also like it if the part-time retail employee and they add a waitress job that was like the careers from Get to Work where you can work for like 4 hours and be able to expand to 6-8 hours if you wanted to.

I agree with this so much. Get to work is lacking and needs a boost, if pets can have a pack why cant' get to work?

This...so much this. I have no idea why this was left out, we had it before. Rarity and the Cakes need their homes/shops!

I agree that there needs to be some kind of add-on for the TS4 Get to Work expansion pack. All of the suggestions for improvement are great, but I think that the medical industry has been greatly overlooked. Being a nurse is considered a mere stepping stone in the Doctor career and there are no specialties. The interactions between healthcare workers and the general public are very limited, as are the procedures, tests, exams, and even surgeries. To that effect, all pregnant sims are expected to give birth either through surgery or weird little special effects blurps (such as the event that occurs when a sim gives birth anywhere other than the hospital). Also, no doctor, nurse, or healthcare professional of any kind, no matter their role, experiences patient death or consequences even (for things like deteriorating condition or malpractice). This needs to be improved upon, maybe in an additional pack, perhaps named Specialty Stuff or Medical Stuff.:)

Expanding on this, it would be create if they could include doctor home visits or other illnesses that require you sim to visit the hospital in order to treat. Wouldn't it be fun taking your sim to the hospital and watching the doctor diagnose their illness, do some tests and offer a cure? If we can visit the hospitals to watch our sims have their babies disturbingly extracted from them, this should be a possibility too!
