I don't see why they couldn't add comedic cartoon humor that represents the hates children trait without making it too raw and realistic. I understand they don't want to promote child abuse, but there's so many ways they can take the trait to actually make the trait something rather than it just wasting a slot.
Agreed. The trait (had to double check to be sure) behaved that way in TS3 as well. Parents didn't like their own kids, and that was rated T so it wasn't an issue then. I feel like they changed it to keep the game happy as possible, but it definitely wasn't due to the rating.
Also yeah it's a game, we aren't asking for parents to abuse their kids, hit them, etc. Just behave towards their own kids like how they behave towards others, like being angry/tense and maybe some arguing.
