Advice for Improvement
I've been working a bit on this house but parts of it just look off, especially all the extra space in the interior and the slightly odd looking exterior. I'm looking for some advice to make it look a bit better.

It would be best if you added some photos to your post, so as other simmers may be able to see your house and give suggestions as to what may help. To add photos to a post, click on the little camera button at the bottom of the reply post or in the top of the post if it is the opening post in the thread, and then can choose to upload photos from your computer there 🙂
My mistake, they didn't upload properly.
Looks like the roof needs a little work and maybe some nice trim. I like to look at reference photos when I'm building, and also some tutorials can be really helpful.
Some more landscaping might help too. And look at some floor plans to get ideas for the inside. Just use Google and then find one that's a similar shape to what you have and use it for inspiration.
Add some windows and some decorations. Maybe a chimney. :)
