You can create a second version of every outfit in CAS without shoes and socks and change into it when at home inside.
I know, but then sims might walk around town with bare feet :( That's what stops me from doing it. - mariefoxprice837 years agoSeasoned Ace

If you have two outfits that are exactly the sane except that one has shoes and the other doesn't, all you need to do is switch back and forth. When they come home, shoeless. When they are about to go out, shoes on. They shouldn't be out and about shoeless unless you want them to be.
Yeah, but the game won't know that I don't want them to get changed into the outfit with shoes when I send them out. I guess what I want is an automated way for the game to tell whether they are inside or outdoors, other than with temperature changes. Still, perhaps I'll try it.
