Really @MzNatNat The dead should stay dead.
Why? The thread isn't closed, and it's still a relevant topic.

Yes to spiral stairs (and ladders.)
Big yes to ladders.- I don't mind not having spiral staircases but they need to have some curved staircases and L shaped ones as well oh and don't forget U shaped ones, I believe they don't have those in the game yet. :(
- Not yet, OP. I think in TS3 we didn't get them until Generations (2 years after TS3 released). I do hope we get them soon, though, because I miss them greatly! A nice old wrought iron one would have looked great in Windenburg. Alas!
Edit: I'd love to see ladders and curved staircases as well! - I personally wouldn't mind a few staircase styles. It just seems like The Sims and curved anything is almost impossible sometimes.
- As a builder I really want more styles of stairs, and ladders. I loved making lofts with ladders in TS3. I really like making small houses, and the lots in TS4 are so small, you almost need spiral stairs and ladders. And I have so many ideas, either from homes that I've lived in or floor plans found online, but they take stairs that bend. Sometimes I can modify to use the clunky straight stairs, but more often I end up scrapping the project all together.
"You rule." - I wish they existed! I tried to see if they had any cc spiral staircases, but no

There's a lot of things that could have been added without having to make outrageous changes. For one thing, they could have limited the gym to just one town. They could have had a restaurant or a bakery/cafe in another town, and a bowling alley or a recreational/community center in one town. So, let's say Willow Springs has the library, gym, lounge, and Oasis Springs has the arcade/restaurant/bar/bakery. That would, at least, give our Sims a reason to travel to the different venues.
As it is, I'm wondering how they're going to possibly introduce new venues to the game, short of creating a separate world and calling it Downtown, and making it be nothing BUT community lots.
I did this in my game, to some extent, I removed all the libraries, gyms, and art galleries. I don't ever go to them and really hate when a sim takes me there on a date. I replaced them with houses, spas, or parks. This is an easy fix.
Where as the spiral staircase the only way to get one is with a CC and I don't use CCs or mods in my games."crzy_gal_101;787737" wrote:

I'm hoping spiral stairs do come, but I'm sure they wanted to wait until they completed escalators and elevators too. :-)- There's a few things we had in Sims 3, that I really really miss in Sims 4..
1. Spiral stairs, ability to 'make' split-level staircases, quarter turn/u-shape stairs..
2. Rounded corners/shapes for pools & fountains..
3. Vehicles, parking spaces, etc..
I ALSO would really like to someday get the ability to put a pool and a fountain directly next to each other for landscaping reasons. More than any other 'Build-Mode' feature - I want this... OMG I want it. Sadly, there's been no suitable mods which would emulate this feature via placeable object, so I could pretend I had the feature.. Speaking of pools - am I the ONLY one that wishes would could change the depth of pools, or the shape of the inside? Like what if I wanted a shallow rounded pool with a staircase going into it. My sims wouldn't swim in it so much as they'd lounge, but mebbe it would have a "deep end" for actual swimming... Jussayin'..
AND I don't know why in Sims 3 you could place a fence on the very border of your lot, but in Sims 4, you're required to indent it by one square space. It's not like you can't place other objects on the outer square, and even have those objects overlap land that isn't "within" your building area (example: like a rock, tree, or mailbox). I view this is a "quality of life" change they could do to improve our experience while we get lost in Build mode...
/endrant. LOL - BENH84849 years agoSeasoned TravelerI've made some grand staircases in TS4, but they do need multiple floor levels to get the feel right. In some houses I've put stairs up to the attic - even though nothing is up there, just to get the grand staircase look. Something a bit more interesting to just join two floors would be great. I also wish it was easier to delete single floor tiles to have a bigger opening in the floor around the stairs. Stairs can also be difficult to place when you've made a hole in the floor you want them to sit in.
